Annual maintenance is essential to detect wear, prevent failures, and maintain system efficiency in remote or standalone power setups. Please contact us for a price.
Scope of Service
1. Site Assessment & Visual Inspection
· Solar Array:
Inspect for physical damage (cracks, hotspots, discoloration). Remove accumulated dirt, bird droppings, or debris that may block sunlight. Confirm proper tilt and orientation. Mounting Structures:
Check all brackets, rails, and fasteners for rust, corrosion, or looseness. Ensure panels remain structurally secure and undisturbed. Wiring and Connections. Inspect DC and AC cables for UV damage, fraying, rodent activity, or corrosion. Confirm all connectors are tight and weatherproof. Inspect conduit routing and cable strain relief.
2. Electrical System Performance
System Output Check : Measure and record voltage, current, and power output from solar panels. Compare readings against expected values for system size and season. Charge Controller : Check function and programming (charging voltages, temperature compensation). Verify correct operation with lithium battery profile selected. Inverter Check : Test inverter output (voltage, frequency, waveform). Check for overheating, unusual noise, or system alarms. Update firmware if applicable.
3. Lithium Battery System Inspection
Visual Inspection : Inspect for signs of bloating, discoloration, or damage to enclosures. Check terminal cleanliness and torque. BMS (Battery Management System) Review : Verify BMS data: state of charge (SOC), cell balancing, voltage spread, cycle count. Review error logs and system status through app/software interface. Performance Testing : Confirm battery capacity and charging/discharging behaviour Ensure system is staying within voltage/current limits as recommended by the manufacturer. Temperature Management : Check ambient temperature around battery bank; ensure thermal protection or ventilation is adequate. Confirm heaters or coolers (if installed) are functional.
4. System Safety Checks
Breakers and Fuses : Inspect all overcurrent protection devices for continuity and rating compliance. Grounding and Bonding : Verify grounding of panels, enclosures, inverter, and battery bank.Surge and Lightning Protection : Inspect surge arrestors and verify earthing resistance if required. Fire Safety and Enclosure Compliance : Ensure battery enclosures are sealed, ventilated (if required), and meet fire safety codes. Confirm installation complies with local electrical standards.
5. Software, Monitoring & Reporting
System Monitoring Tools : Verify data logging is active and remotely accessible (if applicable). Check for alerts, underperformance trends, or flagged issues. Firmware & Software Updates : Update inverters, charge controllers, and battery firmware to latest stable versions. Include recommendations for upgrades, part replacements, or corrective actions.
